Focus timer for iPhone and Android

Track what you do, not what you plan.

Pomodoro counts down. Monodoro counts up. Focus for as long as you want, without setting a goal for every task.

Monodoro is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.

Counts up, not down

Start without deciding how long.

A countdown asks you to guess first. Monodoro just keeps time while you work, then logs it to the task.

Pomodoro counts down
  • Pick a length before you start.
  • The timer stops you when it runs out, even mid-thought.
  • Your day gets measured in fixed blocks.
Monodoro counts up
  • Pick a task and press Start.
  • Tap to pause. Hold 2 seconds to finish when you are done.
  • Every session is logged with the time it really took.
Focus

Pick a task. Press Start. Stop when you’re done.

  • A stopwatch, not a countdownIt runs for as long as you focus. There is no length to set first.
  • Tap to pause, hold to finishTap the timer to pause or resume. Hold it for 2 seconds to finish the session.
  • Tasks and projectsName what you are working on. Link it to a project to log it as a session of that project, or keep it as a standalone task.
Plans

Every minute lands somewhere.

  • Projects and tasksGroup your work into projects, or keep quick tasks on their own.
  • Sessions on every projectEach project shows its sessions and the total time, like “6 sessions · 7h 20m”.
  • Active, Completed, ArchivedFilter by status, search projects and tasks, and set a past session up again in one tap.
Insights

See your week at a glance.

  • Weekly reportTotal focus time, your daily average and the change from last week, plus your best day and longest session.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How is Monodoro different from a Pomodoro timer?

A Pomodoro timer counts down from a fixed length and stops you when it ends. Monodoro counts up. You pick a task, press Start and stop when you are done. The time you actually spent is what gets logged.

Do I have to set a goal for every task?

No. You only need a name for what you are working on. Linking it to a project is optional. If you want a daily target, you can set one in Insights and change it any time.

What is Focus endurance?

How long your phone stays down without being picked up. Turning the screen off is fine, and that time still counts. Picking the phone up saves the stretch. Your focus time keeps running either way.

It is an estimate. Small movements may not register.

Does picking up my phone change my focus time?

No. Pickups never change your focus time. They only end the current still stretch.

Are my motion sensor readings uploaded?

No. Motion readings are processed on your phone. Only a summary of each session is saved, such as the longest still stretch and the number of likely pickups.

What happens if I switch to another app?

Your focus time keeps going. Focus endurance isn’t tracked while you are in another app, and it resumes once your phone is still again.

Is Monodoro free?

Focus, Plans, Insights, Focus endurance and milestones are free. Monodoro Pro is coming soon, with premium themes and app icons, formatted export reports and advanced endurance analytics.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. You can export your sessions as a CSV file from inside the app, and delete your account and data from Profile. How account deletion works.
